Stepping Stones Project
First Baptist Church is committed to the task of equipping and partnering with parents for the purpose of discipling children. This partnership will include five areas:
- A Plan to Work on Together - The Spiritual Formation Map - A step-by step checklist of age apporpriate spiritual outcomes to be used by parents and ministry staff.
- A Set of Developmental Landmarks to Prepare for Together - 'Stepping Stone' Stages - Child Developmental life stages that parents and the church can partner together to prepare for and celebrate with their children.
- A List of Resources to Peruse - Web Resource List - Recommended resources and links to assist parents in their task of passing on their faith to their children.
- A Systematic Plan to Equip Parents - Parent Classes and Training - Task-oriented training to help parents along each stage of the 'Stepping Stone' path.
- A Group of Partners to Consult - Church Staff as Parent Partners - Ministry staff available to help with your questions and concerns.

Upcoming Parent Classes and Training
In an effort to communicate the importance of Scripture to those children entering the elementary school age, David Guenin will be holding a meeting with parents of children entering 1st grade to prepare for our promotion recognition time on Rally Day. The meeting will be held during the beginning of Sunday school on August 29th in the Family Life Center. Contact David Guenin for details.
