The Pastor of First Baptist - Neil Kulp

After spending 10 years in the corporate community, by 1980 Pastor Kulp had answered a call to the ministry from his home church. Pastor Neil and his wife Jacqueline have since served two baptist churches in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas, arriving at First Baptist Church in 1998... just in time for Christmas!

Pastor Neil holds B.S. degrees in Business and Biblical Studies, as well as Master of Divinity from what is now known as Bethel Seminary of the East. Jackie has also earned a B.S. degree in Biblical Studies, and is currently completing a masters degree in ministry.

Since Neil and Jackie's marriage in 1978, God has blessed their lives with four wonderful children: Melissa (Frankenfield), a high school history teacher; Erika (Coleman), an urban social worker; Rebekah, a college student; and Andrew, a high schooler with professional baseball aspirations!

Neil's gifts include preaching and teaching, and finds refreshment in athletics, landscaping, and family gatherings. Jackie also enjoys their children and extended family, as well as teaching and counseling the precepts of God's Word.

Both Neil and Jackie desire to see people become true worshipers of the Son of God, through study of the Word of God and submission to the Spirit of God! They invite you to join them in their journey... to the center of God's Will!

Associate Pastor of Family Ministries - David Zimmerman

As Associate Pastor of Family Ministries, David Zimmerman is responsible for coordinating discipleship ministries from birth through college.  Though he is relatively new to First Baptist Church (July 2006), he is not new to the Lehigh Valley.  In fact, he grew up only about twenty minutes away from thechurch.  He is passionate about the importance of discipleship in the church as he recognizes the impact godly leaders have had in his own life.  His desire is to provide the same kind of modeling, care and teaching that he received as a child and young person.  This passion also drives him to challenge others to build into the lives of the children and young people around them.

Pastor Dave brings a variety of experience to First Baptist, having served as a secondary school Bible and Social Studies teacher in the Lehigh Valley and later for six years as a missionary with BCM International in Glasgow, Scotland. He holds a B.S. in Bible and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Philadelphia Biblical University.  David has also earned an M.A in Christian Thought from Biblical Theological Seminary.

David met his wife, Esther, while studying at Philadelphia College of Bible and they married in 1992.  Esther is currently International Director of Children's Ministry for BCM International (www.bcmintl.org).  Esther graduated from PBU with B.S. degrees in Bible and Secondary Education (English).  She has since earned an M.Ed. in Training Design and Development from Penn State University.

David and Esther enjoy the three children with whom God has entrusted them: Rebekah, Daniel, and Abigail.

Children's Ministry Associate - David Guenin

David Guenin was born in Decatur, Indiana and his family moved to Elko, Nevada when he was just 6 months old.  David lived in the same house until he went off to college in California.  David received his B.A. in Bible and Theology from Shasta Bible College and Graduate School.  After graduation, David lived in California working as a Children’s Ministry Intern for a local Baptist church.

Later, David went to Missouri to attend Children’s Ministry Institute where he met his lovely wife, Naomi.  He moved to Pennsylvania in the summer of 2004 after getting engaged and then married Naomi in July 2005.  Naomi is a CEF State Fieldworker (Teacher Trainer and Children’s Worker).  David is currently seeking his Master’s Degree in Christian Family Life Education from Shasta.

Both David and Naomi’s desire is to see children reached for God and then to help them deepen their relationship with Him.
